I have had my t/a for about nine months and have spent that time making the interior and engine right. Now I'm ready for some perfomrance upgrades. I live in berkeley county and have no idea where to find a shop that can work on ls1 engines willingly. i would like to start with a stall, either a yank 3200 or 3600, along with a shift kit and a trans cooler. Anyone have any ideas on where to go...would love to hear them. As money allows I will be adding what I can. A priority list would be nice as far as mods go.

My name is Mike and I look forward to getting started.

Call HHP they will get you set up with whatever you want done. As far as a list goes it all depends on what your looking for out of your car. How many miles are on the car?

Just something for the street. Car has right at 100k. Had nothing when I bought it. Only has a lid and exhaust now. Would like to be able to compete with a 2011 SS or GT from a red light.

Thanks for the shop recommendations.

i would say go with headers, heads and cam and that should be pretty decent for what you want, the only issue is the mileage on the motor, may want to look into freshening that motor up before you do any performance upgrades.

I don't really know a whole lot about the internals of an engine. When you say freshen up, what exactly does that include.

Easiest thing would be to call jeff at HHP and let him know what you want to do and let him know the mileage and everything about the car and let them help you out, they will be more than willing to help you out.

Montec also does killer transmission work as well. We have one of his built 4l60es that is taking a licking from nitrous pretty good. Oh and x inifinte on hhp as well

welcome!!

I would mod that LSx as long as it holds, then ask about putting a truck 6.0 or something in it. it should stay together as long as you want, if you don't spray it too much, or put the boost to it.

MonteC(Rob) for tranny work and HHP for everything else. excellent customer service from both parties I mentioned. but I've heard good about Gerald gearmesh too. So you do have choices and good ones.
