Hit Carolina Dragway up Sunday and decided I'd help the little 72mm out and toss in a little 35 shot for good measure. Old best was 4 10.7x's, and one 10.67@127.
Details on the night, truck was 100% full weight, nothing removed. Bottle pressure was at 600psi due to no heater, but used a .034 first pass, .042 second, .034 again on the third pass. Had to switch back to small pill because my fuel setup is maxed out. Last pass was more or less a hot lap to get one last run in, timing got yanked on the big end when eng temps went above 200.
That said, truck is haul'in ass and I had a great time. Pretty sure I was smiling all night lol. I could have went home after the first pass, but the little pills go down like candy :cheers I can see why people get hooked on the bottle. I'm done for the season though, truck has made huge gains this year. I'll be back at it again in a few months with a new fuel setup upgrade and a different snail. :rocker:

Thats moving for a truck, hell thats about what my camaro runs on motor. With the bogarts and the stance your truck looks bad ass. It almost has me wanting to buy another one.

Great job. That is impressive. Amazing for a 4.8 in a truck.

Hey thanks guys. Spdracr it's the stock bottom end/heads/intake. Has headstuds, gaskets, valve springs.
Dennis I was getting tags for the jeep. 92 xj, plan is to drive it on the nasty days and to work. Give truck a little rest as its been the dd for the last 4 years.

Chris we could have that dry shot on your truck in about 30-45 minutes. Have Randy add a little extra fuel and bingo. Some c16 and a few run, I'm sure you'll be <10.5 .. That .034 gave me 3mph in the 1/4, .042 added 5, even with only 600psi bottle pressure. That's pretty good when you consider the 4400 weight.
Once they start pushing the cage rule my 1/4 mile fun will come to a end. I honestly never see me putting bars in the truck.

I think Ill save the nitrous for my 9 second attempts and itll be a wet shot instead of a dry shot. On race gas my 1/8 mile ET isnt too far off from yours with only 3 passes under my belt so hopefully we should be kinda close in ET on the 1/4 too (although your turbo pulls pretty damn hard up top).

Yeah, ok if thats what it takes to break a 9 then I'm sure it will get done. I remember " it's just a tow vehicle and I may do cam but that's it" .

From some recent research, it may be speculation but the evidence says Chris's truck will not need nitrous to go <10.5. Just got him to get the nerve to go to a 1.4 mile track......

How much power would a set of ported stock heads, intake and matched cam be worth on your setup? I ( of little LS knowledge ) would think the short block would hold more. Put a cage with swing out door bars in it and just leave them out 99.9% of the time. Dont stop running the 1/4 for a few bars.

True true, but hey it's still a tow vehicle.. lol
Bradley heads/intake/cam would do well, but I think i'll save that for a different engine setup all together.
