But the seller screwed the pooch and didn't put a reserve on it. Then, he tried to cancel the auction after it was over.

so, what happens now? doesn't he have to sell it for the auction price per ebay rules? im not sure how all of that works, i try to stay away from that place for my wallet's sanity :hysterical:

Nah. I've got enough of a cushion between the FMV and my winning bid to make it worth my while to pursue a breach of contract over in Alabama, but I'll just give him negative feedback and keep looking.

Meh.

He sent me an email saying he tried to cancel the auction but eBay wouldn't let him (because he didn't set a reserve).

He has bought goods off ebay, but he hasn't sold a bunch so he gets a pass.

I still wanted that car, except it was an auto.

But, it had gotten up to 46.3 before this morning, and then it backed down to 10.4.

With no reserve I thought maybe he had some shill bidders, but he evidently is not that smart.
