What are y'all doing to keep the rim from spinning inside a dragradial, since your not suppose to use screws on them? I was wondering before I broke down and bought bead locks.

I have personally never tried it but the most turbo guys use it to keep the boost pipes from blowing off. I think it will work. Just dry mount them then spray some on the bead before you seat it. The high tack stuff 1iron is talking about is made by permatex but I dont think anywhere local sells it.

And old racers trick is to also take sand paper and sand the bead where the tire will sit and make it a rougher surface, so the tire bead can have a little more grip..

Permtex High Tac is what the big boys use.

I checked out that high tack stuff sounds like would work good, would it be better to sand that part where the bead goes and use high tac?

I don't and haven't had an issue. But if you want or need zero movement you should use beadlocks.

ProMods use it 60'ing in the sub 1.0's so I'm sure it will work fine for you. If you are going to be running radials alot, I would go ahead and get your wheels beadlocked.

I don't know how often I'll be running the radials but I am planning on buying a set of rims just for radials though

I think i'm gonna try sanding the rim and using high tac, unless I find a deal on used bead locks
