As you can already guess my house is fucked in every direction with no happy ending. I pulled up the carpet and pading and having new carpet and woodish flooring installed next week. Pretty much everything else is still gonna be fucked. Not just ranting but would like to see if we have carpenters, electricians etc etc I can utilize in the future. Rather give my buisness to you guys than some stranger. Back to ranting...windows broken, all doors are fucked with holes and knife holes in them, door jams are fucked, three door handles and dead bolts need to be replaced, sheet rock needs alot of help and more installed in place of the paneling, fence work is needed(wood), electrician work, roof needs replacing. Will be remodeling the bathrooms and kitchen eventually. So if you are good at these things or reccomend something I would appreciate the information. About the only thing that is great is the ac/heater Hal Jr installed a few years back. But the fuckers dont even have a filter in it! And....the house has rats.... I will be doing alot myself but something I'll leave to the pros. There will be a happy ending to this fucking.

I can do almost any wood work. I could have probably gotten you a killer deal on the carpet and install, and i could have installed the wood floors for you also. My job is wood floors... but as you can imagine ive had to fix just about every interior wood piece in a house at least a few times for people.

Well I'll be asking alot of questions then...
Like tips on routing out the door hinges for the hollow inside doors.

Just had a guy do some pretty extensive electrical work for me, did good work at a great price. My family has used him before as well. Pat Hoff - his cell is 200-2660.

My buddy owns Low country fence and decks. He's a SSgt I work with. If you need any work done on the fence or deck just let me know and I will get you his number and he does great work. You can stop by the house and look at my fence if you want, he definitely knows his shit and has a really fair price, especially for military and retirees.

Yes, but there have been several people contribute to the houses demise. My house has been a slut for young single navy guys. I guess that says it all rite there....:?

If you can find out who their superiors are with the Navy, do it. Call them up and tell them the condition those sailors left the place in. Take photos and find out who to send them to. The Navy will definitely give these sailors pure hell for leaving a such a mess behind and quite possibly make them pay to get it cleaned up. The Navy doesn't take too kindly to any actions by its sailors which would cause civilians in the nearby community to view the Navy's presence in a negative way.
If this were base housing, you bet your ass that the place would be spotless for final inspection or there would be hell to pay. The Navy expects no less from its sailors when they move out from civilian housing.

As a landlord, you may be able to have their paychecks "garnished". Happy hunting!

Was this the same house that I stayed in the bedroom for a couple of months? It was in pretty good shape when we lived there.

Yes Jason, same house as when you lived with me. When I bought it from an Army couple they had done alot to fix it up and I kept it up rather well. Now it needs so much but I'll get it back in shape to sell it so I can move out of the Creek. Better town, neighborhood is in the distant future :cheers
JR, I will be at the house about 9am so morning is fine with me or afternoon if that works better for you man. Thanks :cheers
if you want to pursue it, i can get command info for you... there's no sense in ANYBODY trashing a rental property, but it makes my blood boil even more to hear it was navy guys... we go through enough training, and if they are/were nukes, have even higher standards than most navy guys and i can PROMISE you the command cares about this sort of thing... pm me if necessary and i will see what i can do for you

I can vouch for Pat Hoff (Faith Electric) also. He has done good work for us on many projects from commerical to residential.

If you rent out anything. Pay someone to manage the rental.
I saw the mess they made of shanes house and NO ONE should have to deal with that.

Definitely do this. Get as many pictures and such as you can and go to whatever command you can dig up for them. Most OIC and NCOICs will be more then happy to take care of this. I expect soldiers under me to treat civilian housing with the same respect they would treat the barracks, at minimum. I have personally reamed soldiers under me for this. By some good ol fashioned corrective training and setup involuntarily allotments on the base pay for the landlord to recover the costs of the soldiers (or sailors in this case) idiocy.

Most of the damage was caused by kids while the house was not rented for 8 months. I guess when they saw someone come in to rent it they got back at me for renting it. It was fine when he looked at it to rent then the next day it was heavily damage. Some of that the current renter fixed. I'm more upset with this guy for living like a dirty piece of shit. I already rekeyed the house, cleaned like crazy, scraped down two rooms of popcorn before the carpet gets installed. Fixed the dishwasher where a rat made a nest and drinking hole from the washer. That was some nasty shit behind the washer. Still have not killed the fucker but working on it with all sorts of traps and poison. It'll be a long road but from now on I will not rent but if I did it will be managed. Hoping to move in by next weekend......

Isn't amazing how little respect people have for your property!? Makes me mad every time I think about it. I have a rental townhouse in N.Chas. and it's been amazing what some people have done. Each time someone moves out I have to go over and work on it. Last trash stayed 3.5 months, paid 2, disappeared and left half of their crap. Took me and a buddy a day just to get all the crap out of it. It's hard getting reimbursed when things go bad. I would agree on getting a property manager, kind of, but mine didn't seem to help with this last situation at all. Had been fine before this.
Anyway, enough rant, sorry about your place. Good luck getting it fixed back up. Let us know who you use that's good. I might have some electrical work at my home I'd throw at someone if they do good work.

It's a shame I cant get people to treat my house like I treat them. That would be what I deserved afterall. The house I am in now I have only been in for about 8 months but I replaced the rusty mailbox, installed a garage door opener, ordered the glass dish for the microwave cause it was missing, kept up the yard and painted out a bathroom the correct way unlike the previous 2 or 3 coats. The rest of the house is as I moved into it. Shame it is but it's all good cause I'm not renting it out again but selling in a year or two when I retire. Thanks for all the help guys :cheers

My bad luck continues...the wood flooring laminate that I have in the living room has been discontinued. So instead of ripping it up and installing new shit we are just gonna keep carpet in the hallway. Caught the rat..he is dead, fixed the dish washer he chewed up. Moving from Summerville to the Creek this weekend after more cleaning and packing.
Oh yeah..ROLL TIDE:cheers
