What do you guys plan to do with your tax return money?
List it out...
Car parts, down payment on house, buy a car, buy furniture, save it, etc...?
I plan on getting a set of long tube headers.

I am going to owe this year...
Too much money ...
Wish I had that problem.
I will be writing a check for around a thousand. I never like giving the IRS a free loan.

Yes they are and I am glad her daddy is paying for most of it! Her mom has paid a good bit also! We are from Florida so it will be a Golf Country Club there. Think we are close to 15,000 and that's still cheap for a wedding. -shane

Hoping to break even. I don't understand people who get a big return. I guess they don't trust themselves with their own money.

I say the same thing paul. I bring in a few dollars. Mainly because of child tax credit, daycare, and Mortgage.

I am very good with my money, but I don't get the claiming more than 1, etc.. I get nervous about owing at the end of the year. I'd rather have more in my paycheck, but not sure how to fix that.

You can claim what ever you want on your W4. Use a tax calculator to figure how much needs to be withheld. I usually verify mine around June and make changes so that I owe at the end of the year.

Wife and I claim single/0 and have 2 kids and still will have to pay something....
Maybe finally go on a honeymoon. 2 weeks before my wedding last year we found out a few things and had to pay out of our pocket for things. So we were not able to go on a honeymoon. Depending how much I get back, im going to build a shed in the backyard.
i got burned last year by my ex filing differently that we had agreed... being separated, we had still agreed to file jointly since i had claimed 2 on my taxes all year, she filed separately and claimed our son and head of household garnering her a hefty return check and i had to pay a pretty large chunk... this year, i have been claiming 0 all across the board, and will most likely claim our son when i file... not sure what im going to do with the money yet, but at least i shouldnt have to come up with 4 figures for uncle sam...

On the w-4 form it says if you and your wife both work you may need to have additional money taken out based on the chart on the second page. You can also go to IRS.gov and they will tell you what to do based on their calculator which accounts for how much you have paid so far for the year.

Yes I know but Im not giving them extra money. lol
I dont know why anyone that claims 0 and married all year should owe anything at the end. Maybe my thinking is flawed but thats the way I see it.
