guy said parts come off a 1974 Chevy truck, 400 ci?
dunno.
starter looks NEW.
hate to junk it, but no SBC's hanging around my place right now
alternator looks dirty, prolly work fine.
a 74 would be internally regulated

The ÔÇ£SIÔÇØ in the model number stands for Systems Integrated, meaning that the voltage regulator is inside of the alternator.
The model 10SI Delco built alternator is the first generation, SI series alternator. It was introduced on the 1969 Corvette, and by 1973 most GM built cars and light trucks used this model alternator.
We do not recommend these physically larger diameter alternators for high performance applications. They are larger and heavier, which often makes mounting more difficult. Also, the physically larger alternators are easily damaged with high RPM. (Centrifugal force at the rotating parts will become much greater as the diameter becomes larger.)
