I needed an alternator, and a guy gave me a box of dirty filthy parts.

i was gonna give it away, and just buy a new one, but i had some time today, so i decided to clean it up some.

i sprayed it with carb cleaner, then engine cleaner, then soapy SOS pad, then wire brush on a drill.

i sure do hope it charges, after all this labor...

the spinner part is what i thought was neat, to sit on my little stool & paint it without walking around it alot.

i did not want to paint the snout after assembly, because then, it does not look OEM, it looks like a rattle can restoration.

what do you think?

I think I would have taken it to advance and had it checked before I went through all that work. Looks Good Though.
