Moving to Charleston

Whats up guys? Planning to move from Cincinnati to Charleston here in the next few weeks and figured I'd peep the car scene. I'm always down for meets, events, etc. Not to mention, I don't know a damn person in the area

My dad owns a business in N. Charleston. Moved it down there from Cleveland about a year ago. I'm gonna go down there, work with him, and hopefully step into his shoes (so to speak) some day. Plus the weather here suuucks. I'll miss all my firends/family, but I have a feeling it won't take too much persuading to get them to come visit lol.

BTW, we have a little side project involving a vinyl plotter and we also cut acrylic, so if we can get some people interested in CH/any other vinyl, acrylic decals, I could possibly get in touch with the site owner, get us some decals so we can recognize each other out in the wild, and help the site with a little bit of funding :bigthumb: That would be a little bit in the future if it were to materialize.

So I moved down monday and started work yesterday. What is fun to do around here? Where are good meets to hit? My father and I are fixing up an old school "super sport" boat, but not sure when it will hit the water.

Stencil manufacturing. anything from pavement marking to athletic field products as well as anything custom. also working with a little acrylic and vinyl. i jumped straight into production since we're in a huge rush right now, but ill be learning everything else when i get 2 seconds to step away from the production tables.

my house and shop are both off ashley phosphate between 26 and dorchester rd, so if i want to learn the area, i have to explore

On second thought, every 3rd car I passed today coming back from Columbia had an Ohio tag on it. 2 of them damned near caused accidents.

Pretty sure Ohioans just want to get the fuck out of Ohio lol. Cincy isn't bad, but the rest of the state is some hillbilly white trash, and Cleveland is quickly becoming more ghetto by the day. I'm originally from Atlanta, does that help?

I had a chance to take a job in Cleveland when I graduated running a salt mine. The money was WAY better than what I make now but who wants to work underground in a salt mine, especially in the winter? Screw that.
