What do they go for? Got a friend with one that Im wanting to get from him, as he is struggling for money at this moment.. Been sitting for some time, frame is good, would probably need some body panels due to rust. The interior looks really really good considering how long has been sitting. Motor is the original V8, 265 ish? Trans is also original. What do these trucks usually go for? I told him 800 bucks.. haha

I1st or 2nd series 55 truck should be second if its original v8. Im interested if for sale.

I know, I was talking to Kevin. But it is a 265 v8, 2 barrel, with the smaller window in the rear from what I remember about it. Gonna go look at it tomorrow he wants 1200.

I noticed it one day sitting on the edge of the woods one night at his house and walked back and looked at it. Been sitting there for a while, after me bitching enough he finally pulled it out of the woods, but still not going anywhere anytime soon. I watched the Expendables and it got me thinking about the truck again. I know its a ford, but I wanna do something similar with this truck.

I was gonna say looks like the truck from the Expendables, lol. Shit man LQ9 with 243 heads call it done son! Then Ridetech for the suspension.

Does it run? $1200 sounds alright for a truck with little rust. They are popular and badass fixed up.

Well its in much worse shape than I thought, stopped by a few minutes ago.

Yeah I'd offer 300 and only then if I had another one that needed parts off of that one. Glass looks good.

If you were going to rat it out maybe....

It is a big back window but its rough i've fixed worse. I would shortin the frame and bed clip the frontend drive it as is . I like patina lol.

I thought about this, swap motor out and disk brake conversion and be set. What is a good sub frame to use to get rid of the leafs up front? A majority of the rust isnt terrible (it looks worse in the pics) Just the three spots are the real bad parts. Im trying to get the vin from him to find out really where it came from.

I wouldn't pay anymore than 1000 70's f body subframes work i know where a frame is that has been clipped may be for sale.

It would make a great patina truck. Slam it on the ground, put an ls in it, and roll for a while. Shame it's a long bed but that can be fixed. Looks pretty complete. I'd check the drip rail rust on the cab. If any of that is rusted through it isn't worth fixing in my opinion. I think I would stay at your $800 offer or lower if the rust really isn't as bad as it looks.
