Did it cause any other damage to the motor?

That cam lobe was fucked. Other then that no. I was lucky and it failed in the driveway so it only did 500rpm for 20 seconds.

I decided to go overboard as it is used for road racing. Everything is overkill. 20minutes never under 3,500rpm puts on a whole different other strain then a 1/8 or 1/4 mile.

243 heads will be ported, ported tb, ported intake, JBA shorties, K&N CAI. I'm lowered so I don't have the ground clearance for longtubes. It should be well north of 400rwhp.

Yes, RR is tough on them for sure! Glad you were spared any catastrophic damage and it turned out to be a relatively inexpensive repair vs. taking out the whole motor.:bigthumb:
