My breaking point with this s10

I've had this truck for a few years now and bought it from hal and i swear it is posessed. When i purchased it it had a 355 700r4 and a 7.5. it now has a 5.3 th350 and a 9". Has a roll bar now a full fuel system been repainted. Put caltracs on. Trick springs. adjustable shocks all the way around. Nitrous big shot kit. arc 8000. I mean i have been over this truck and spent way too much money.

AND ITS THE DEVIL

first time too the track, busted a rear shock, who does that? MEEE

second time throttle cable fubar, grrrrr

third time (jody made me a chromoly linkage) pedal broke in half

Put nitrous on the truck, axle broke caused body damage, oops

Manual brakes with LS1 brakes up front, took it out three times, 2 out of the three the master cylinder went out while loading it up

I have spent alot of money on this truck getting it to the point it is and im telling you im at wits end, I just recently rewired the truck and the last few days been cleaning up wiring and all been running awesome. Well last friday the trans tore up in my dually so i took it to rob to fix, that will be done the beginning of the week so ive been borrowing my dads 2500 and hes been driving moms truck. Well tomorrow she needs her truck so i said well ill just drive my s10, it said o hell no.

I went to crank it and the carb was leaking, easy fix. then the kicker, i went to turn it over, and ping ping, starter bolts fell out. What the hell. Somehow it stripped out the holes in the block clean and my control arm is in the way of helicoiling it, so the motor has to come out

Everyone thinks i dont wanna race. i do. I just got a 28 foot enclosed last year and the truck tries to kill me everytime i take it out. Im really frustrated at this point and sorry for the jabber but holy shit im pissed.

Bout ready to cut my ties and let it all go. get me a fuel efficient car and save up money and maybe get back in later

im really considering pulling the truck up in the trailer and locking it up for a while. i dont owe anything on any of it. Just so frustrated with it all, its like 2 steps forward and 3 back with this truck.

I feel your pain, i raced my car all the time when it just had some bolt ons and a supercharger, since then, its been nothing but a nightmare, since changing the clutch, full fuel system to e85, then turbos, and now f* this transmission and diff.

to the point where i just want to get rid of it and concentrate on school and work.

im gonna attempt to fix it in the truck. if it works then ill get it all right and get in into the enclosed. lock it up for a lil while n get right. if it dont work, well we all shall see

I can relate, man. Since I have moved down here the T/A has spent almost two years sitting in the garage, blown head gasket followed by low oil pressure, followed by a fire in the bay when trying to trouble shoot the oil pressure issue, sat for a year, pulled the motor, freshened up the bottom end, had small oil leaks had to fix no big deal, 10 track passes and about 1K miles and the exhaust port on #7 opens up. Kind of disappointing. Had plans to go auto but had to spend the money for that on the heads, so I have to stick it out with the T56 for now. I swear to god if this things screws up again I'm buying a ford. lol

I had my lightning for i think 4 years. It sat from being broke way more than it ran. It was a almost stock truck with low miles. I replaced the heads twice. And the whole engine once.

well i started doing some measuring and realized i could get some longer bolts for the starter, The bolts for an 07 chevy truck are almost an inch longer then what i had in there, so i got them and wa la. fixed that bitch
