Just picked up a built TH400 with 3500 stall with reverse manual valve body, and a brake. Also has the shifter, flywheel, and driveshaft. Basically everything I need to convert to auto minus the auto pedals in the car. Shits about to get real.

FYI. No need to swap pedals unless your just nitpicky about that kind of thing. My cars been auto for the last 2 years and I still have that clutch pedal down there lol.

Yah I know, but there are a couple V6 4th gens sitting in LKQ and I figure that they cant want more than 30 bucks for the pedals and they will fit my T/A just fine.

Got a question where can I take my driveshaft to around the charleston area to have it shortened and balanced? I Think I just found a good deal on a gear venders overdrive unit for the TH400 supposed to be good up to 1500hp and its a .78 overdrive.

Yea I just know to change the pedal assembly in a mustang is a PITA. Gear vendors work great but you might have to mod the trans tunnel to get it all to fit under a TA.

Thanks Ill give them a call once I figure out the measurements might be a week or so since the car is having the 8point roll bar welded in now.

Just searched a couple forums on LS1TECH and they say it fits without modifying the tunnel at all. Guess we will see once it all gets here, those things are a little pricey but the built TH400 with it is still cheaper than a built 4L80E, then you add the converter and the electronics to run one and your easily out 5K.

Got everything installed took it for a ride, trans shifts good and the converter might be on the border of being to loose, Oh well guess it will have to go back to Cameron and get tightened up. Was going to head out to dorchester but the tailshaft seal is leaking, So cant make a pass like that guess I will go get the seal and fix that in the morning. Now its off to the bottle of tequila I bought yesterday and never got around to thanks to the car.
