What tuning software do you recommend for Ford's, specifically a 2008 GT500? Software that can adjust timing and fuel tables as well as all other variables. I've looked at the SCT Pro Racer Software, Delta Force and others but would like some actual users opinions on what the are using. What is good? Bad? Why?
Thanks for the opinons.

Randy is the man you need to talk to. Just don't let him get you drunk... or look him directly in the eye.

SCT seems to be the most popular and would make getting someone to give you a hand in the event you have issues. After you buy the Sniper software you would still have to buy the datascout to be able to log everything that you can through the SCT with a firewire cable

I can put a brick under the pedal to slow it down or grenade the motor myself, but thanks for the input.

Sct, if its just bolt ons 90% of your setup is provided in value files. It just takes some simple fine tuning.

What do you recommend if its deeper than bolt-on's?

Depends what it is, there comes a point where value files are no longer useful and you have to start from scratch, at that point it doesn't matter if its HP tuners, SCT, Diablo, Sniper ect. I'll always recommend SCT if its blowers, Maf's injectors, and the normal stuff. because the value files almost make it plug and play.

I'm considering a cam change and dont want to buy something that will limit tuning in the event that tuning will go deeper than shifting value files. I'm using the SCT X3 handheld now but want to make sure that my step up is worth the money spent.

The only limit with SCT, HP, or the rest is the stock PCM. But to answer your question, yes that can be done with any of them. But since you already have the xcal I would stay with SCT..... and as far as a cam change is concerned, Increase the idle speed, adjust the IAC in the tune for the loss of vacuum, re-scale the maf and drive............. The rest is just fine tuning for power.

NP, BTW if you want to look at advantage III, I'm in the creek. I tune these lightnings with just about anything you can think of and all of them are different, Ive done from bolt ons to fully built motors with aggressive cams and big injectors, Ive done them with full fuel systems for e85 to pump 93, and c16, from 12 psi to 25psi..... All with SCT, I typically don't use the value files, but for a Novice, they are nice, that is why I mentioned it.

Randy. One specfic question about the Advantage III software. Can you adjust dashpot settings with it?

Thanks, but I already have one. I'm looking to be able to do more than it is capable of.

It would be nice if you could bring it down on a saturday. If you give me 3-4 days notice i may be able to swing comming to you, but with work and kid stuff going on its hard. My kids are almost grown, so they have alot of HS activities going on.
I have a 2 and a 3.
Which one you want to get rid of?

I do have to figure out my fuel problem first. It pretty much has to be in the tank; I think.
