It's Texas, so what do you think the outcome will be when it goes to the grand jury?
Can honestly say that I would probably do the same......or worse.

I'd like to meet him and shake his hand. If the guy was that brash as to do it so close to everybody, chances are he has done it to other children before, now he will never do it again.
I think if he is charged it will be something very light, maybe involuntary manslaughter at the worst.

He shouldnt be charged with anything, i know that i have been told my entire time as an mp that if you ever encounter a situation where you actually whitness someone being raped it is one of the very few times when you are allowed to shoot and kill on the spot no questions asked, i would think the same rule would apply no matter what your position is but who knows.

Having a 3 year old daughter and knowing my 7 year old neice had this very thing happen to her makes me sick to my stomach. My brother didn't take action but I almost did. The man was arrested but is out on bond and living a "normal" life pretty much. He was also very close to our family but had it been my daughter the man wouldn't walk talk or touch ever again and that's if he lived through what would have happened.

He isn't going to charged with anything. A jury wouldn't find him guilty so the prosecutor isn't going to waste their time.

No charges will be filled. Almost everyday you can read on the news about someone killing a would be robber, thief, car jacker etc. I am glad I live in Texas because Texas seems to stand behind the victim or innocent person vs the thief. No riots or looting here with hurricanes.

I'd give him a metal and wouldn't expect any of us to act any differently.

As a father of a 20 year old daughter, I would have shot him to, wether I got prosecuted or not wouldn't have mattered. Your kids come first. I am with Shane, he should get a metal..:bigthumb:

IF the facts are as they are presented in that story, and IF the prosecutor decides to bring the case before the Grand Jury, I predict they will return a No Bill.
As an aside, I heard some of Jerry Sandusky's interview with Bob Costas and I can't help but wonder what kind of dumbass attorney would let him give that interview. When Costas asked him if he was sexually attracted to young boys Sandusky stammered, hemmed, and hawed before saying no he wasn't sexually attracted to young boys.
Moreover, his attorney hinted in opening arguments that he might let him testify.
That I'd like to see.

Yeah if they let him on the stand, it will be BAD for him.
But for some odd reason I want to see him stutter up there.

Can you imagine how many times it would take to punch someone to death? That dead guy must have been a pulp at the end.

Once all my surviving family here in SC passes on, I'm thinking pretty seriously about moving to Texas.

Come on down, you'll fit right in and should be able to meet the minimum gun quota to live here.

Ahh...nothing like living amongst like minded people!
It would have been worse with me.. A lot worse..
When you take care of things all by yourself like this father did, just finish taking care of it all right there and don't even call the cops. Its just too risky in most states to beat some deserving scum to death and report it.

yeah, I think waterboarding would have been at the top of my list of things to do first!

No way a Grand Jury will bound it over. I've presented many cases at grand jury and at the end of the day, people will vote on personal beliefs/opinions.

If they were to charge him(which I doubt will happen) the prosecuter should be fired. I know as a father myself I would have done the same.

Just think of the movie "A Time To Kill." Having a 2 1/2 year old myself, I'd of put two fist through that guys skull. It's crazy how your mentality changes once you become a father. Nothing means more to me than my little girl, nothing.
