I would like to come and get some video of 1iron and Jeff's cars, since it's their first runs in those cars at the track, but I may be coming down with the flu. I hope to hear of some good results. Good luck to everyone and I hope no one has any problems.

I had a good time tonight in spite of Mike giving me the flu. I would still like to meet WTFSAT and Chillerman. Your cars sounded great. I started to feel a little better once Richard Head got up on the bumper with me and helped level out the Tahoe. Even Mitch brought out his new sled. Daryl, the Silver Bullet sounded good. Randy and Chris, sorry you guys couldn't get more runs in. I was ready with the camcorder. Darryl, I look forward to seeing the LTD again. Jeff, your car looked, ran and sounder (Schaawing!) great and I know it will only get faster. 1Iron, that car is going to be a REAL BEAST when you get real tires and the suspension adjusted. Of course, it was the first day of the track being open and it was not hooking well. At least Chris got one run in. Randy, you got to be in the parade. haha Morey beat up on a BMW :cheers. Derek, I hope you get a lot of "at bats" this year with CSU and will look for your name in the paper. I know I left some of you other guys out, so sorry.
It was fun today and I look forward to getting some good video footage of a lot of cars from this "Carolina Horsepower" group this year. Hopefully, I can get out there soon and have some fun too. Mike will post the ones I got todat up soon.
Take care,
Larry

Nice! if you get it posted up somewhere id like to see it !!
Chris
I had a great time it was fun to finally get a car back to the track again .
I was actually happy with the car for the first time out with it . Best pass on motor was 8.11 @ 85mph and best pass on the gas was 7.21 @ 96mph with a 1.57 60ft . The nitrous pass was with the progressive controller on 50% out the gate and ramping in the other 50% in the next 1.5 seconds . I went around to make a pass with all the gas from home but the nitrous never hit . I've had some issues with the arming switch and we think that's the culprit . Overall not bad for only having 3:55 gears in the car . The car really needs some 4:10s in it , it goes into 3rd 50-100 ft before the finish line in the 1/8th . With a little more timing in the car I tihnk it will run right where I want it to 7.xx on motor and 6.8x on the gas .
Guys your going to have to refresh my memory on who drives what. So I can name these videos correctly
Is this all right?
Jeff - light blue notch.
1iron - Paul - Blue GT.
WTFWSAT- Chris - purple notch.
Chillerman- Will - blue hatch
Yes Mike that's a good list .

Jeff, it was good to see you racing again.
WTFWSAT, your car left hard, but we could tell you were having trouble with the tranny. Good luck with figuring it out. You better come over and say hello next time.
I'm still looking for that lowrider S10 ......

Nice times for your first outing Jeff!!!
BTW how did you get tickets with MPH on them? B/c neither Morey nor I did.
Thanks !
Every pass the car made the ticket had a mph . I've got 6 slips all with mph on them .

Haha, howd he do? And when you gonna take that 8 and the hit from our all motor 4 cylinder????
BTW, Jeff, sounds like you arent too far off of what you were expecting! Glad to hear it made a decent pass, but yeah, some 4.10's would prolly get u a good bit closer to where you want to eventually be. Anyone goin next weekend?
Yeah I need some gears and I'm happy with the car especially the way it hooks . I had zero problems with traction ......but when your car doesn't make much power it's not hard to hook .
Your buddy in the blue 98 showed me a time slip from what looked like a top fuel dragster with a tire blistering .................................................. .................................................. ...........
9.40 @ 72mph

Thanks for the vids. I managed to spin every time. I guess I need to work on car and driver for the next time. The car ran 7.3 on motor but I think it has a little more in it. And thanks Morey for the expert body work.

Whaler,
Were you the one out there with the nice camera? If so I saw you when I was standing next to David Lincoln's Camaro. I had the black Diamondbacks coaches jacket on. I would like meet some the other guys as well from this forum. This was my first outing with the skinnies up front. My best yesterday was an 8.07 @ 88 mph and still spinning the tires. We took our camera and had dead batteries. I quess that's what you get when you don't check things out before going.

There were 2 people with cameras, Mike and Ray. I had the camcorder and was standing on the back of my Tahoe. The first day after the track opens is always tough on traction.

Thanks for being out there anyways. I don't know alot of people on this forum yet. I live one street over from Jeff. We can hollar at each other from the backyards. I just met Darryl there yesterday. I know Morey and Chris(wtfwsat). Paul I've known since high school. So that's about it. Next time out I'll try and do a better job of getting around to some of our folks. Also Chad who just signed up is an old high school buddy of mine as well.

That all from home pass Jeff made was no switch fault. He had a 2.04 60' because he was afraid to mat it from home.:fight:

I am supposed to go to Dorchester with the bucket truck Saturday morning to fix the lights. Hopefully a cut wire was the only damage done by the land clearing company.

Give him time, I'd bet after the he gets the gears and all, it won't be to long before a 2nd stage goes on the car.:gears:
