i seen about 15/20 cars yesterday in surfside/murrells inlet acting a fool... wernt all that fast of cars fromt he way they left every stop light they could catch. the ws6 did look clean tho. didnt see any on skinnies like years past..
the skinny equiped cars seem to really roll in mustang week.

Last year I came up for the show only as well. This year, I did the whole week even though its only a 3-day event. Much better impression when it is all done together vs. a 1-day car show.

This is a small group 60'ish cars. But, mustang week started just like this and grew from there too. All I'm going to say is that you should do the whole event next year.

Thursday- Darlington Dragway rental (rained out this year)

Friday- Myrtle Beach Speedway rental (auto cross, drive your car around the .5 mile speedway as quick as you want, rolling burn out contest, front stretch drag race off arm drop, best sounding exhaust competition (not loudest). This year you could also DRIVE a NASCAR Sprint Cup car (Jeff Gordon's old car) around the track for $68. with a chase car following you, talking to you over the radio. Or ride in a two seater car (Jack Daniels car) with a Pro Driver.

Friday night- Burkey's Grille cruise-in, eat dinner, cruise the strip

Saturday- Car Show event. This year they added had a DJ and rented a room inside the mall for awards.

Saturday night- Large group of us went to Broadway at the Beach and ate dinner out on the water at Key West Grill and then rode the Jet boat around the lake.

Sunday- Breakfast farewell and head home.


Far more than a Saturday car show, as I said before.
