So is this a housing community? The wife and I were coming back from some shoping last night and decided to check it out. We had never been down the road. We quickly came to a guard shack with an asshole. I was being friendly and said we were out exploring. He was a dick, then I said if I bought a house back there could I go through and he said you CANT buy a house back there. We turned around and left...dick. :roll:

Not really. They started cracking down this past year. If you are non-hispanic and say you are going to bid a job for you "company", then they will give you a pass for the $10-15. If you are hispanic, they will automatically discriminate and double check you at the gate.

I read an article in Golf Digest a couple years ago that had a small article titled "The Most Exclusive Clubs in the South" and to my surprise Yemeans Hall was number 2 or 3. From what was said earlier there are only 40 to 50 houses back there and in order to move in back there you have to be voted in. Most of the folks in there are the descendants of the 4 original families that owned the property. I know several guys that have played the course and all of them said that the actual course wasn't out of this World, but the overall atmosphere was priceless.
