View Full Version : need someone to make a tailgate for utility trailer

got one on there already, but not strong enough to walk on.
would need ~3x3 of deck material (expanded steel, some kind of grate)
and the angle iron to frame it up.
just weld it on the existing hinge, which is on a peice of angle iron.
that is strong enough, i just need the ramp/walk on part.
it's unsafe, as is.
thinking $100 would be good price?

nah, i think i could round up the angle iron, but deck material is tough to find in that size.

you can get a 4 x8 sheet at dillons supplys in charleston for about 37.00.

we got Gkids this week,but i will do that next week.
will just take the trailer down there to haul it :)

talked to Lindsey @ Dillon, great guy!
he said would be pretty cheap, and they would cut the angle iron to fit on my trailer.(comes in 20 ft sticks)
he said i had to buy a whole sheet of expanded metal, anyone need half?
