looking for a transmission to get rebuilt for my camaro.

i'm guessing rob is the guy to talk to for a rebuild...

any clue what a bench job would cost, need to handle about 550whp.

Tell Rob that you want the same stuff that he installed in the blazers transmission. Has handled the power level you speak of

will do hoping to find a core to have done to minimize downtime.

The one in the car is acting dumb and has 165k miles, converter is a pos and probably caused all the problems so I'm going with an fti this time.

Look up revmax for the converter. They are located in nc.

That's what's in it now. Clutch lasted a few thousand miles now it wont hold. Feels very inefficient aswell but that could well be the trans slipping I can't tell.

When it first went in it locked up hard and wouldn't slip or shudder at all. Car felt nice. All of a sudden a couple weeks ago it started feeling really loose during part throttle (still flashes to same rpm) and the clutch started slipping on light throttle and shutters hard on medium throttle (just enough to keep it from unlocking). Installed a valve per robs recommendations and it seemed to help for a day or 2 then back to the same, I bumped line pressure in the tune and got rid of the pwm stuff. A few days ago the 2-3 shift started acting up once it gets hot you hardly feel the shift and it makes a loud ting. Also delayed downshift when coasting or slowing down.

I'm not a transmission Guy at all so it could be something very simple in the valvebody but at this mileage I'm probably better off starting with a fresh rebuild.

I did add a deep pan and new filter when I put the valve in the
Valvebody... there was what I think was a ton of clutch material in the pan when I dropped it too.
