Eventually, enough vague laws will be put on the books to ensure everyone is deemed some sort of criminal. The US is the world leader for incarceration numbers per capita. You can thank the war on drugs for the biggest majority of that. A lot of people that are locked up are convicted of victimless so called "crimes". How in the hell are certain acts deemed a crime when there is no victim?

I've dealt with a few sovereign citizens in the last few years. Their views are rather odd. One of them came to court on a citation for false information and have me a four page contract charging me $10k an hour for his time then left before he was called. Wound up with another warrant.
Every time the general public gets scared they wind up turning over more freedom for the sake of "security". Going to run out of freedom one day.

So could they deem a DUI/DWI reason enough to rufuse you gun ownership?

My buddy was charged with felony DUI a few years ago...no guns for him

I read comments about people with prescription marijuana not being able to get cwps...it'll start with drugs/alcohol then get to prescription pain killers...then OTC drugs...or so some say...hope they're wrong

I think people with DUI's shouldn't be allowed to have a CWP, that's a no brainer.

So because I got DUI when I was a young stupid adult I shouldn't have the right now to defend my family now? Even after being Military for 19 years, instructor and model citizen?

I agree getting a dui should not be a reason to keep someone from owning a firearm.

I should revise that statement, I think there should be a lengthy time period where you shouldn't be allowed to have it. Obviously you've grown up and learned since then. But at the time of getting a DUI I think a CWP should be taken away. I think you should still be allowed to have a weapon at home but not a CWP.
