So, by making a thread in this section, I am obviously a new guy. Not sure how I found this forum, but I did, and it seems pretty cool. Nice to get to talk with some local guys on a forum for a change. So, I've got two cars at the moment. My daily driver is a 2010 Nissan Sentra SR; nothing special. It's bone stock save for a K&N drop in air filter. My fun car though is a 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6. It currently has no engine in it as the engine is being rebuilt. Once that gets put together, it should be a lot of fun. My dad has a few 2nd gen Trans Ams (think Smokey and the Bandit body style) that we take to car shows occasionally, though all of those are currently without engines and are in various stages of rebuild as well. I graduated from C of C last year and am currently managing a pizza place (whoopdey friggin doo). If you wanna know anything else, just ask. I'm not shy, lol. Otherwise, see ya'll around.

Welcome to a good site. It's the best local (almost......for me) site I've found in a very long time.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. I manage the Domino's out on James Island. Seems like it might be a bit out of the way for a lot of you guys, lol. But I'll post some pics up of both rides once I'm actually at my computer and not on my phone.

Also, here are some pics of my cars and my dads cars that I promised.

That's my T/A on the left and one of my dad's '79s. That one is getting turned into the car in the next picture.

This is the car my dad is currently building. It's called the "Triple-Threat Trans Am" because it has a full pro-touring setup complete with C5 Corvette suspension. The suspension can be set up for either drag, autocross, or pro-touring stuff within an hour supposedly. The car is currently under construction still. There are build threads for it on the Trans Am Country forum and the protouring.com forum.

The engine that's going in the "Triple-Threat". It's a 535 Pontiac block making 750hp 700lbs of torque on 93 octane pump gas. No nitrous, no forced induction, no meth injection. Just straight motor.

My crazy ass dad with his new engine, lol.

From the front. These pictures are pretty old. You can see my first car, a '95 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS lurking in the background, lol.

Here's a little bit of the reason why I got rid of the Eclipse about two years ago....

Pretty much gutted the interior of the WS6.

A few weeks ago when we pulled the engine. I have to work on it in the driveway at my dad's house because my townhouse complex does not allow you to store a non-running vehicle in the complex or else it will get towed. So it gives me and my dad a chance to do all that father-son bonding shit as we curse and kick subframe/engine/transmission combos to get them to drop from the car, lol.

So yea, that's about where I stand at the moment with my project. I'll post some pics up tomorrow or something when it's not 3:30AM and I'm just getting home from work.

Me too, lol. Hopefully one of these cars will be done soon. I have to take the LS1 out to Mt. P to get it looked at and decide weather the block is toast or if it's salvageable.
