no one local has "rims in stock" unless they are 20 or over (360 has those in stock) (everyone else has to order anything)

the stock wheel sizes are:

base model:
Tire Size: 235/75R15
P235/75R15 diameter 28.9

sport model:
Tire Size: 275/60R15
P275/60R15 diameter 28.0

Hill Tire can get steel wheels, but they want $111 each.

Jegs wants $44.99 each for 15x7

Looks like a 245-50/16 would be $99.99

Maxxis Tires #653-39643000
Victra All-Season Tire
P245/50R16
7.5 Rim
9.80 Section

what have you guys seen on a 2wd? I think the 245/50 would be too short of a sidewall, and would leave the wheelwell looking empty.

only thing on craigslist is 22/24, and tires are wore out.

what does the peanut gallery think?

Junk yard would be your best bet.

Do not put a 245/50/16 on it unless it is slammed. That is wayyyy to short a tire for the truck. My opinion, do what I did and find the factory chrome 454SS style wheels, then find black factory centercaps. Thats my favorite look on those trucks.

find the factory chrome 454SS style wheels,

i can't seem to locate those rims anywhere, and it has chunks of tread missing, the steel cords are broken, sticking out, and rusting.
it makes a "flip flop" sound when i move it around the driveway :hysterical:

the other tire has two screws in it, and is going flat.

i need to use it at 14:30 this afternoon to take the dog to the Vet.

the actual ss wheels are 8" wide i believe and hard to find, but the sport wheels are 7" wide and look the same and easier to find

no one at the tire store is interested, when you say i want "cheap" all they say is I cant, it out of stock, it wont be here till next week, you might as well.....

the local store that WOULD do black steelies for me wanted $1100 for rims & tires, and would be a few days.

i got a set of 17' mags & new nitto's off CL delivered to my house for $1000 today.

not what i wanted, more than what i wanted to spend, but i made it to the Dog Doctor today. drove that old girl all over town, it's a champ for the price!!

i might shop around now, find a cheaper set, and throw these back on CL, with the actual size & lug pattern in the Ad, and a few pictures, and get $1500 for them

and i DO appreciate your guys help.
I went to Junkyard, but most of thier stuff is just WORE out, dry rotted, or mis matched.
it just pushes the pain till next month,
may as well pay the man, and ride worry free for a year or two.
that way, wife or anyone can drive it, not be worried.
