Rerridgerator is Acting Up!

Started with my milk freezing, then the water dispenser quit because the water filter is frozen.

I put a thermometer inside and it reads like 25f. the freezer reads around -10 to -6.

the seals of the door look good and are closing all the way. I have the setting set at the factory default of 3 (0-6 scale).

I'd like to just unplug it and clean it all out (defrost), but it is full of perishable food. but if you think it will fix it, i have a big cooler to use.

Frigidaire model # GLRS267ZAB6 side by side

any tips or company to recommend before i call up AHS.

did some youtubin and trouble shot it down to the defrost temp switch. 13$ part online. on order

controls a coil that melts the frost build up on the coils, cycling the temp from 70f to 20f.

checked fridge and freezer thermostat controls. good.
checked the defroster coil itself. good.
checked the wiring harness. good.

was pretty close to buying another one today, but i guess 13 dollars in 6 years isn't too shabby.

long story short, the heater inside was the bad part.. just like you said.
