why Sprint 4g smart phone batteries die quick/poor 3g

Sprint has NO 4g in South Carolina...
A buddy called and a Sprint Rep told him that, and said that was why the battery dies so quick, is because the phone is constantly searching for 4G.


The antenna in a 4G device is larger than the 3G antenna bc the phone should be on 4G

but if it can't then it will drain more battery

as well as have worse signal with a smaller 3G antenna.

I have one, you can turn off the 4g antenna on the main screen so I know that's not the real problem. It's insane how quick my phone dies.

i had to get rid of sprint because the damn thing wouldnt work anywhere. mainly in the metal building at work, and at my house. went with verizon and now have full signal in both places.

It goes from full charge to dead in about 4 hours when I go in to work.

i've had several, and the battery on most of them would last ~5 hours

basically, it was like an old timey corded phone, because you had to wired into power all the time.

just sucks that people are paying for 4g, and not getting it.
