FWIW, look at the pics in my garage.
99 M-GT vert, auto.

think we paid ~$4500 in HORRIBLE CONDITION.
put another ~4500 in "restoration" (some of that was a Griffin Transmission)

and basically got a NEW car for $10k

that may not work for you, but my Dad LOVES his car, and it KILLS everyone because he DRIVES it everyday. he said he spins the tires or catches second everytime he drives it.

one of his buddies has a Mustang owned by Carroll Shelby, and the guy can't bring himself to drive it. all his buddies have "garage queens"
dads is a "drive thru" queen.

a convertible is a 'must have' at least once in life.

I got a 04 black gt that I will be selling as soon as I get the front end fixed. Got to get a fender and bumper cover on it. Will probably be a month before I get it back together
