Join me Monday night at the North Charleston City Hall for a VITAL hearing!
The first of four public hearings on a measure that will reclaim your constitutional right to keep and bear arms without government infringement will be Monday night in the Charleston area.
If you live in the Charleston area, it is CRITICAL that you attend and show your support.
Arrive 30 minutes early and sign up to speak in favor of S115, The Constitutional Carry Act of 2013, or just attend and support those who will speak.
It's VITAL that we have a good turn out in support of our Second Amendment rights.

I went and spoke once, was pretty neat to state your mind.
FWIW, if you wanna make a speech, have your notes printed out, bullet format,
and be ready to answer questions.
some guys just got up & said "I don't support this, and I don't think it's right"
and sat back down...but ~12 people did that.

Some say it's a God-given right. Others believe the right to carry a weapon openly or concealed, without a permit, may do harm.
"Guns in schools, guns in bars, guns in places they don't need to be," explained Senator Brad Hutto, D-Orangeburg. "I'm a big Second Amendment believer. I mean, I have guns, I hunt. Guns are an important part of our culture, but even in the old West, they made you check your guns at the bar."
But that won't be the case if Senate Bill 115 is passed.
The "South Carolina Constitutional Carry Act of 2013" would change the offense of unlawfully carrying a handgun, to carrying a handgun with intent to commit a crime.
"Intent to commit a crime," said Charleston Police Chief Greg Mullen, "How do you as a law enforcement officer determine that someone has the intent to commit a crime until the act has actually occurred?"
A total of four public hearings will be held to discuss Senate Bill 115. The first was held Monday night in North Charleston.
Questions were raised by people on both sides.
A subcommittee of five senators has been appointed to study the bill.
The members are Sens. Lee Bright, of Spartanburg, Brad Hutto, of Orangeburg, Gerald Malloy, of Darlington, Shane Martin, of Spartanburg, and Greg Hembree, of Horry County.
They'll take testimony during public hearings on the next three Monday evenings across the state

I like the way that every time open carry is mentioned people always assume that the area would be over whelmed with people carrying firearms every where. What they fail to realize is how many people conceal carry now but they have no idea about it because it is not visible.

last camping trip was in VA...I open carried from the time I hit NC..5 days later I had to put the guns back in the center console as I crossed into SC..no one freaked..cops didnt bother me...IF it passes it will take some time...but people will become "numb" to seeing guns and not be so damn scared of them...
