Took a C6 Grandsport out as my car is still in the shop. Fun times.

Fun fact: It is termed as "Black Lake" because of how much dark asphalt there is. Well ironically this time it was also quite wet as pictured and resembled a black lake even more. Lol

Stole my words.
That is the best damn site in the SC. Does it still draw 250 cars at the events?
I remember when it was off-limits for SCR from late 2004 until like 2008 (because of some damage we 'supposedly' did to it with our car jacks in '04). That 2008 shootout was the best weekend of AX'ing I've ever been a part of.
Do they still have the designer for the Solo Nationals designing the course?

I'm sure Miker can answer most of that..I wouldn't know really.
All I know is that was the site I was MOST looking forward to and on that weekend it had to fucking rain a ton. I wasn't gonna waste the trip, gas, money and time racing in a wet parking lot on my street tires...or standing in the rain/wet. I'm sure it was still fun and that they were competitive and all...but not for me.
Oh well...CMP is next in May. Hopefully I find some front tires before then.

It was ~150 in the rain. We expect 200+ still for a dry event.
They are very friendly with us now; we helped them Saturday with an Employee event. We also supply plywood to put under your jacks when you jack a car; they have a strict no metal contact rule.
Michael Licursi does course design.
