it's a $130 part at the dealer, about $66 on ebay

Don's has a 2005 F-250, but someone grabbed it already.

it's a called a "rear harness" or "trailer harness"

it plugs in at the rear, and has a 7 pin instead of a 4 pin plug

http://www.ebay.com/itm/BRAND-NEW-FORD-F-150-OEM-7-PIN-CONNECTOR-TRAILER-HARNESS-9L3Z-13A576-BB-/260929860957?rt=nc&_trksid=p2047675.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222002%26algo%3DSIC.FIT%26ao%3D1%2 6asc%3D163%26meid%3D6433503897611008550%26pid%3D10 0005%26prg%3D1088%26rk%3D2%26sd%3D310402119478%26

and I am afraid, that the $130 piece will be JUST that cable.

and I will still need this piece, and a mount,

called Jones today, said closest one is in columbia....for $130.

please explain, or is it sarcasm? I had a 99 before, liked the 5.4 in it.

the little standard cab chebby was everything you complain about: uncomfortable (seat won't recline) no center arm rest (put the Vato Zone one in there) and just no room to tote anything out of the weather. it got me thru my financial tight spot, and i can have something nicer now.

so i found this F1Fiddy, and in true CHP style, it was too cheap to be true, so I jumped on it. wish now, i had waited on one with a tow package

Looks like $28 will get everything I need:

I've put a lot of transmissions behind those 3v motors all had close to or over 200k. Just saw one last week with 298k.

The biggest issue I've see with them are the coil packs and the lack of tune ups done to them.

since I saved all that scratch, I may buy a better brake controller this time:

I've just been around a bunch of the '05 up 5.4 3 valve motors that have non-stop problems.....So, I don't care for them. From the intakes cracking, the valves dropping, the lifters failing, pistons cracking, constant injector and coil problems......I guess just like any other motor sometimes you get good ones and sometimes you don't, I'm sure with great maintenance most are good engines.

Glad you found the piece you needed for a good price, John.
