Yeah dude was super cool about it. There's always a waiting list so refilling the spot is never a problem

I'd love to but good Lawd that's expensive. I'd rather use that money on a roadcourse.

That is awesome!!! I'm gonna try like hell to make it, even if it's for nothing more than spectating.

its a rarely used runway... theres gonna be junk on it... you can make as many passes as you want.... the videos from last year made it look like some guys ran like 40 times.

Here is some more general information about the wannagofast events if anyone is on the fence about registering.

It might seem expensive, but being able to do high speed runs on a private runway without the chance of a ticket is pretty cool.

The timing system used shows your speed as you cross the 1/2 mile marker. You have the choice to start from a dead stop (dig) or from a roll. When you do a roll, usually you are hitting it around 40mph.

You run heads up against anyone you want. Ever wanted to race a TT Lambo? This is your chance. The drivers line up against anyone they want.

Depending on the location, you can get 20+ runs. In Florida, you have to go back down the runway after your run so it takes a little longer between races. In Georgia, there is a road to get back to the staging area.

The atmosphere at these events is a lot of fun. Its all car people who enjoy going fast. There is usually several venders that can answer a lot of questions you might have. The public and car owners all interact and its as much of a car show as a racing event.

The cars are amazing. If you don't want to race, just go and check out the cars. There are very few times this many fast cars get togeather and show what they got.

I have attended several of the wannagofast events, racing in a couple. My best speed so far is 145mph.

Haven't made up my mind if I'm going to run or not, but we are definitely going.

Does anyone know where the spectators are allowed to sit/set up?

Any schematic of the layout?

I bought my sat pass to run so can't wait. It's a little pricey but anything to do with cars is pricey.

Spectators are going to be sitting on the left side of the track. The same side as the cars lining up for staging and there is a hill so everyone should have a great view. Parking will be on the opposite side of the track, so bring what you need for spectating after you park. Crossing track will be limited once racing starts.
