They also considered him a Communist at one time. I believe that speech was made for the movie "The Great Dictator" which ridiculed Adolf Hitler.

The Great Dictator is a phenomenal film, very funny but also very poignant, I highly recommend everyone seeing it if they haven't already. It's just as applicable today.
