15lbs is more then enough to crank a high compression LS motor; could probally get away with a 11lbs.
I will be putting a battery tender on it tho when it is in the garage because I have a feeling all the battery draws my car has will kill it while it sleeps.

Bumper supports connect frame rails.
Cts-v brakes saved a ton of weight. 8lbs front calipers 6lbs rear

I busted an oil pan at oem ride height so I run a skidplate. It is all scrapped up and it is a great jack point.
I've never scrapped my front bumper tho.

I really suck with fiberglass so I doubt I could pull of carbon. Aluminum is light enough while not letting the battery flop about.
I would be happy to hit z06 weights.

car weighed 3,150 bone stock, weighed 3,080 in this pic and should now be somewhere around 3,000 maybe less, when I'm done. Short of lexan windows and taking a hole-saw to the car, is it even achievable to get a Goat down to 3,0xx pounds, Mike?

Don't worry about weight, you should upgrade your bumper first.

Yes. You have to special order them from ACDelco.
I took my OEM battery into a parts store and found a yellow top (35 or 38 can't remember) that was almost the same size. It fit in the stock tray perfectly.

Are those things you have done already or are on the list of "to do"? Looks like an extensive list, but expen$$ive to do.
Until I bought the car I have now, I never really realized how big a factor weight really was. I've had faster cars (f-bodies) but none ever moved or braked like what I have now because they were 700 lbs. heavier. Go for it Mike, drop all the weight you can, you'll be amazed. There are some guys on the vette forum who have even changed over to 4lb. Lithium batteries in their car. That will never be an option for me ($300-1,700 for a battery) but i have considered an AGM lightweight battery for events where I want it to matter.
