Who in the Charleston area carries 114-116 octane race fuel ?

You can buy it at the track, but i am sure you already knew that.

Most race shops local carry it. I believe there is a gas station in West Ashley that might. But somehow I am thinking they carry 110 only.

But BOUCHILLION PERFORMANCE does I know. I heard that there is a place in Summerville also. But no other information is provided at this time.

VP racing fuel at the track carry's it. Buy it by the drum it is cheaper. 13.00 per gal. and Boucillon Performance Engineering has Sunoco Racing fuel. 116/118. About the same per gallon if you buy it by the drum.

Hoping to fire it up this weekend, still wont be at the track for at least another 2 weeks until I get the cage put in. :bigthumb:

4 months? So January was the last time? Race gas? I thought it was a "street" car. I'm sure that thing will be nasty fast.

you bought c-16 which has a Motor Octane: 117.

The fuel BOUCHILLON sells I believe is sonoco. Their 116 has a motor octane of 114 or 113 depending on which kind. Your comparing apples to oranges. :poke:

C-16 fuel is a different fuel than 116 I just Spoke to a Sunoco Rep and they make a true c-16 but the price is much higher than VP fuel. C-16 has a true cylinder cooling agent where 116 does not. Thanks Mitch

I run Sonoco in my car, and their actual 116 with cooling agent runs me right at 10.00 per gallon, and thats purchasing a 54 gallon drum, sometimes a little less. VP 116 cost me about 130.00 to 140.00 per drum more, due to the fact it is synthetic, and not patroleum based. That is why I had to switch to Sonoco this season, VP was too much, and I have been happy so far.
