Checking dirt bike vin

Does anyone know who I would call to have a dirt bike vin checked to make sure it isn't stolen and doesn't have a lien on it? Looking at one the guy doesn't have the title for, he already gave me the vin.

You could probably call the duty officer at any police department and have it ran. As for a lien I have no clue.

they dont come with titles only ticket of authenticity w vin on it , not realy worth mutch
