I need 2 new front tires for the SRT, 245/40/17. Any ideas for some reasonably priced tires that will still perform well? I have G-Force T/A KDW on there now, but I'm not sure they even make that size in them anymore, and they're pretty expensive.

Kyle and Matt this means you, calling turbo FWD guys lol

If you dont mind getting 10-15k miles out of a set of tires the NT05's are decent for cheap. I liked my PS2's best for all around but SuperSports were deff way nastier in the summer. the star specs are supposedly pretty good but i've never ran them. you might want to check on the BFG Comp2 as well, its basically the KDW2 replacement.

Star spec 2s in that size are $700 + shipping from Tire Rack. Priced them this morning for the m3.

My vote is for Continental ExtremeContact DWs. They're pretty decent in the wet or dry, will last a good while, and are budget friendly. I think they're cheaper than the star specs but quite similar. However, with your car being a high hp FWD thing, the Nittos are similarly priced but will hook better, though at the expense of rainy/wet conditions.

Here's 2 for $286 shipped, though you can get them slightly cheaper at a local discounttire, with road hazzard: Clicky (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Continental-ExtremeContact-DW-245-40-17-Tire-Set-of-2-/380670610399?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Tires&fits=Section+Width%3A245%7CAspect+Ratio%3A40%7CRim +Diameter%3A17&hash=item58a1bc8bdf&vxp=mtr)

M/T street radial. They hook damn good. Not too pricy either.

I'm going to be selling the car as soon as I get everything straightened out, so I'm honestly not too worried about it, I just don't want to put a set of shitty tires on there for the next owner.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll check these out!

I'm with Kyle. NT05's would probably fit your needs. We have RE760's on the car now and they suck.

Looks like Nitto doesn't make it in a 245/40/17 either... I may just slap some 235's on there and call it a day.

Lol, already sent Bad Bob a pm, just going to stick with the KDW's so I won't have mixed tires when I go to sell it.

RE-11s.

Dad has them on his MazdaSpeed 3 and they have an amazing amount of straight line grip event at -2.5 camber.

If your going to sell it buy the cheapest tires available.

I would but that would be a huge turnoff for a potential buyer. My car is on the higher end of SRT's (insert neonz jokes here) so I don't want somebody being turned off by 2 nice tires on the back and 2 shitty mismatched ones on the front.

If my car was ragged out and worth 5k I wouldn't give it a second thought.

All depends on the miles, condition, mods, etc. I have a number in my head and it shouldn't take very long to get rid of it.

Agreed, if you're just selling and only replacing two of the four, then put the same ones up there. If you were selling and replacing all four, then 4 cheapish summer ones.

Definitely not re-11s.
