it's basically a men's ministry, lot of the guys just got out of prison.

i use them for my truck or when I just need the dirt dusted off the outside of wifes SUV real quick. they usually do it in ~20 minutes.

they use a small pressure washer, so it does good on the wheel wells. not strong enough to hurt anything.

if they are not busy, i usually circle them up & pray with them.
there's a pastor who runs it..if you stop by when he is there, he will PRAY for you. it's worth going, just to hear him pray. know most you guys ain't religious...but sometimes, you may need a prayer for someone.

if somebody don't support the ministry...it will cease to exist, and those men won't have a place to live/work/learn

it is....what it is.

Are they there because they want to be, or because it's a condition of their release?

It's a lot more interesting when they are going to jail- not so interesting when they are getting out. It's usually a cycle though, they will be back.

i can hear it now "why are there 26 miles on my car?"
"we had to drive up to College Park to get it washed, duh!!"

nah, it aint as good a wash as a Matt/Zac wash, it's just something you can use on the "in between" weekends, when Matt & Zac are out on the boats, and you need it cleaned off.

I went there saturday, the $5 is exterior only, not a bad deal, the truck was filthy, they dont clean the tires or wheels other than just pressure washing them

EXACTLY...it's the kind of deal you want for a second car.

or when you don't need a detail, or even a vacuum, but just want to look presentable from the outside.

my buddy takes his work truck thru there, he says look unprofessional pulling up to a NICE house in a filthy work truck. just don't breed confidence

matt, you should have gave them all free shirts, so they could advertise for you!

So you guys know I got a new to me Duramax last week, well I actually bought the truck BEFORE they had a chance to run the truck through detail so it was a little dirty as you can imagine. Well I was up in the summerville area Saturday and thought I might give these guys a try. Well I drove by on the way to my buddies house and there was a line clean around the building... I thought damn they must be doing a decent job to be that busy so I decided to stop back on my way home. They weren't too busy so I stopped in. Got in line, after a few minutes ole slim comes over to my window and says "Yo you know e gonna be 10 dollars right?" I was like no I didn't know I thought it was five? "No man you gots dis big truck its ten" I'm like okay whatever I was gonna leave an extra five anyway but here you want it now? He's like yeah so I give home dude the money. Proceed to the wash area and homeboy comes over and is using some cleaner on my wheels. Immediately I'm thinking wonder if that stuff is safe for my clear coat? Ugh. Anyway I'm thinking well at least they'll be clean since they are doing them ahead if time...pull up one car length and they start washing "at" the truck. I could just tell they didn't wanna be there and were gonna do a shitty job. Bout this time homeboy jumps up onto my truck tool box and starts on the roof! I'm like WTF go to jump out and say something and he jumps down. I'm looking at the box in the rearview it looks like a birdbath. right on! Then the lil white girl comes up and stands on my plastic GMC center cap pulls herself up by my wiper arm and hits and misses all over the hood and windshield. They motion me fwd but the dude gets an attitude cause I drove over then PW hose. Back up then fwd and they dry it off. Then the head dude asks if I paid already. I tell him yeah. I wondered after I left if it was really five and homey pocketed the other five? Get to the bank, jump out and looked at the truck.....Ray Charles would've done a better job. Missed spots everywhere rims looked like shit. Moral of the story I should have just taken the ten dollars and went to mooses for some BBQ and wash the truck myself which I ended up doing anyway. I understand we are talking about people who are down and out and what not but damn. Any job worth doing is worth doing well. Even if you are gonna do a shitty job don't jump up on my toolbox and use my center cap for a step stool. I won't make that mistake again.

the Reverend who was there, and kinda kept them all in line, has went back to detroit. so they are pretty lax now.

I use them all the time. They are on College Park and on 78 in summerville. I mainly go there to support the church. Trucks are $10 for a wash. Usually I will give them a tip on top of that.
