Got rear ended today!

On my way to work this morning I was rearended while sitting at a red traffic light. I saw the guy coming in my rear view mirror and was able to move up a little to lessen the impact. The were no damage to my car or his, plus I was ok. After speaking with the guy and he apogized, I told him to have a good day. Did I do the right thing and has anyone ever has done or had this happen to them before? I now I clearly was not at fault, just being a good someriten.

I was rear ended a few weeks ago downtown by the hospital. I was sitting dead stopped at a light behind a van waiting to turn. The light turned green but the van had to wait for another vechile to pass before turning. I guess the girl behind me saw the green light and decided to go because she WAS previously stopped behind me. After she hit me she got out of the car and before I could even get out of the car and to the back to survey the damage she was saying "oh theres no damage to your car, im really sorry, didnt even scratch your car sir".. I was like I'll be the judge of that.. turned out no damage but was still a suprise.

Sometimes there's damage that you can't see. But I probably would have done the same thing.

Ive done the same. Sometimes it works out better for you in the long run if there isnt any damage because it may get reported to carfax or what not and hurt the future sale.

However I'd still have been pretty mad at his negligence and the possibility that he could have done much worse, and would have let him know such.

I knew a guy that got rear ended once but that was back in his prison days. he doesn't talk about that much. :b:

I got hit in the back before. At the time everything was ok. Then the next day my neck was sore for days.
