That "pawn shop" will never get my business again. Met some people up there for shooting last night and was not allowed to shoot because I brought my own ammo. I was INFORMED that I could only shoot had I bought their ammo. That that is how they maintained the range...wtf...what about the range FEE???? Will not step foot into that place again. FUCK THEM :Finger2:

I haven't been there in a few months, is this the new rule? Last time i took my rifle there they wouldn't let me shoot a certain type of ammo, luckily i had 2 different kinds. Never had an issue with any pistol.

That's the rule in any indoor range I've ever been in. It's a safety issue along with tearing up barrier.

TYPE of Ammo. Nothing to do with "your own" ammo. No FMJ rifle rounds in an indoor range. :bigthumb:

They want you to use hollow points and soft point

normally that only applies if you are renting "their" weapon. You can bring whatever ammo you want if you are shooting "your" weapon. If someone told you otherwise, they were misinformed. I just called them to make sure nothing had changed since I last went. On a side note, I cannot stand them anymore either.

Well she told me I could only shoot their .223 last night, which is why I walked. Mine is brass FMJ and had she said we cant use that I would have understood.

Last time I went i rented a 9mm the guy let me use my own ammo after he checked what i had. He told me hes not suppose to do that but straight up said their ammo is stupidly over priced. Was $55 for a box of 50 9mm range ammo.

Makes more sense. Either uninformed employee or Shane misunderstood. Either way I don't go there for anything.

Just sounds like a break down in communication. Looks like you had the wrong type of ammo and she didnt communicate what the problem was properly.

This is how it works. If you are shooting rifle caliber, and it is not hollow or soft point it is not allowed. If they don't have hollow/soft point, they will let you shoot their FMJ if you purchase it from them. As far as pistol calibers, you can use your own. These are words from the owners mouth explained to me a year or 2 ago. They would love for you to buy their overpriced ammo though.

But it doesn't make sense, I was told no personal ammo for the .223.

lol I'm agreeing with Jeff that the FMJ thing makes sense. Still agree with you that "no personal ammo" doesn't and sounds retarded as fuck. :bigthumb:

Quick shot in west Ashley told me I could shoot ANYTHING in their range. There was actually a guy in there that day that was doing a mag dump so I watched. Last round was a tracer lol.

And yeah, FUCK ATP

I did hear that PSA is building a store at Berlin G and 78 opening next spring.....

I was told PSA bought the old Kmart at Berlin g and 78 but the town of summerville is fighting them and they realized they would need to demo the whole building so they are or have been weighing the options for now.

That's just rumor though.

Well they have asbestos removal crews in there now and have the demo permits on the doors so I am guess it's a go

Why on Earth would Summerville fight a new business bringing money and jobs into town?

That building is full of asbestos as stated above. I was also told that it would have to be demolished and rebuilt. Either way, someone needs to utilize that corner other than taxis lol.

Could have been here say or possibly just some concerned citizens protesting. That's why I said it was a rumor my info was second hand.

I was told by someone "in the know" that the town of Summerville told them they could proceed, but could not DEMOLISH the building. It has to be gutted to it's "bones" and rebuilt, but the structure must remain.....and they are proceeding.

This person also says it will be the largest store PSA has, and will have an indoor range and archery range as well.

I think thats why nobody has done anything with it. Everyone wants to raze it and TOS says no.

ATP lost my business years ago when they sold me a brand new 870 Tactical...with rust. Then they wouldn't return it, since it was considered 'used'. I never shot it. It took almost 6 months for me to get it back from Remmington with new blueing.
