I could use the rear disc brakes to do a conversion on my car.

Not to derail the thread, but I have a complete 88 Thunderbird TC rear axle for sale $100.

I might take you up on that offer. The only problem is that I have an IRS, so no need for solid axle, just need the brake assembly so I can get rid of these drums.

I wouldn't mind having the rear end. I think those are 5 lug 8.8 ? but not sure.

I would probably go in with you and take the reast of the rear if its 8.8, but you might want to check, I always thought your car had some weird German brand brakes, Lucas or something with a different bolt pattern..

bolt pattern is 4X108, but the common upgrades are the 5 lug Turbocoupe rears, or if its an all around upgrade and keeping the 4X108 then the Contour SVT brakes.

Ahhhh, ok. Well if its an 8.8 rear and you want the brakes let me know I'll take the rest..

Blue Skunk, whats your location? I'm in Beaufort, so I would have to try and schedule a time where all 3 of us,( You, me, and Daryl Buckner) can meet up and make this happen.

I'm in Ladson, near N. Charleston. The rear is an 8.8 with 3.75 gears and a traction lock. I think the axles are a 4 lug pattern. ItÔÇÖs been a long time since I looked at it. Daryl doesnÔÇÖt stay too far from me so it shouldnÔÇÖt be a problem getting together.

well...it's obvious that he can't be a drag racer, if he is trying to pay off bills :(
that just ain't how drag racing works! :hysterical:

I can just get the rear end to Darrell this week and you two can work out the details on splitting it up when ever you want.
