I didn't want to believe it, until all of the news sites confirmed. Its a sad day, he was definately one of my favorite actors. He died doing a charity event. RIP Paul. FAST AND FURIOUS WILL NEVER BE THE SAME

I only watched the first F&F and the Tokyo one, but will definitely have to make a marathon out of the others sometime soon.

I originally put this in my post, but took it out to be respectful. The dude was not a good actor, but he didn't seem to be a typical Hollywood douche.

i just wish people would stop trying to drive their vettes/vipers/ferraris/lambos 150+ down small streets and alleys. the hogan kid's wreck, the jackass guy's wreck, and now this one all looked pretty horrific after driving warp 9 down a small road and hitting a tree/s.

According to the article I read. They hit a light pole prior to hitting the tree's.

There were interviews with people who attempted to put the flames out with fire extinguishers that stated they were alive and the extinguishers ran out before they beat back the flames. Terrible and scary at the same time, everyone of us on this forum likes to go for the occasional joyride no telling how fast they were going at the time but makes you think especially since they bounced off a light pole on the other side of the street and ended up hitting a tree. That's why I stopped screwing around on the street occasional burnout but I typically don't hit triple digits anymore on public roads. Too much riding on me with my kids and all.

years ago, we lived in GA and some idiot in a full size truck used to tail gate my wife & just generally be an _ _ _ to her on the way to work...
one day we were out in her car, and we came up behind him on the desolate stretch of road from our subdivision to the town, it is a long straight few miles.
and she said "show him what it will do"
I let it eat....for a long time....
I was watching the road, but a girl in the backseat said we were pushing a buck 30.
would a been the same ending for us, if something happened.
i never liked FnF, but anyone who is famous & helps out other people, seems legit.

It's a bad deal for sure, but we all tend to have a little bit too much fun in the street. I know a few weeks back some guys ran on the interstate and said they grabbed brakes at 190. I told them how ignorant that was but I have been in high speeds too but always when I'm alone and on non crowded highways. If I'm gonna get hurt hopefully I'll go alone.

I agree, 2 cars on the interstate with nobody around keeping it reasonable or some guy lighting up the tires is a little different than what the fast n delirious culture brought on. Up in CT (where the car scene is surprisingly large), when the first movie came out EVERYTHING changed. When real cars used to race in the middle of the night or do the occasional burnout on the street when egg'd on was the norm, every 16 yr old started borrowing mommies honda civic and doing 120 down the busy interstates weaving in and out of traffic. Significantly more serious wrecks started occuring due to "racing" (if you want to call it that) and the handcuff's (literally and figuratively) were put on all car enthusiasts...

i wouldn't say this episode had anything to do with fast and furious.... more like rich and giving joyrides to bad drivers. this guy had a bunch of fast cars, and this Porsche is a pretty serious ride. he was 40 with a 15 year old daughter.
i dunno, its just shitty. bad judgement, and a bad outcome.

This, They were at a charity event at AEPeformance and Roger was giving people rides in his new car. John Zhang of 1013mm Photography was in the car in front of the Leguna Seca Blue M3 in that video, he said there were people trying to get Paul out of the car, he was pinned in the car and they couldnt get him out. Roger was ejected from the car. I've also been told there is a video that shows him struggling to get out of the car which would be absolutely horrible to see. Its pretty terrible that this happened and that has got to be in the top 3 worst ways to go out...
With that said... Why in the fuck is everyone making such a huge deal about this?

My wife said the same thing, TMZ reported it on Friday...very odd. I was hoping it was another "Jackie Chan hoax", because it took so long for the credible news media to report it.
Its unfortunate that a good humanitarian like himself was taken. From what I read, he was selfless, and always helping others, and being directly involved in fundraisers for great causes.

I've had quite a few as well.
The way I see it: How do they expect that the general population is supposed to know about every single KIA in the military, more so than a famous Hollywood actor that played in a bunch of high profile films? If you're famous then you get likewise attention when you die.
Shoot, we had people die in other Companies but I can't name anyone off the top of my head. I don't belittle the fact that the general population wouldn't know about or make a big deal of their death either.
I can't stand illogical analogies/comparisons, like when people post the picture of Paul Walker next to a KIA soldier and cry foul. It's not a fair or valid comparison.
That said, is it a shame that most of us don't know the majority of servicemembers who gave their life protecting our freedom and interests overseas? You bet...but it makes sense that a famous person who played in many movies would get more media attention/coverage upon death.

Dude man was cool. He also had some type of Marine Bioloy degree or something and did a lot of work with sharks and a lot of research with tracking sharks and stuff.
He went out with The Ocearch crew before , dont think he worked with them a whole lot . Ocearch is the organization who tags and tracks great white sharks . Like Mary Leee who shows up off our coast all the time they tagged and track her .
