Need some quick recommendations if anyone has any. FINALLY heard my dad say something about what he wants for Christmas, and it's a bluetooth kit for his 2500HD. It's his work truck, so it's pretty stripped down, but he did install a factory CD player model that comes in the higher trim level trucks.

Anyone using something to tie phone to non-bluetooth factory GM radio?

It's a 2012 or 2013 I believe.

Thanks Captain Obvious. I've done some research. I'm hoping for RECOMMENDATIONS, which is what I wrote in the OP, if anyone has any. I see you do not.

Jesus christ dude. I gave you the best answer I could based off of the info you provided. You didnt even say what year the truck was before the edit. Your welcome. Do your own god damn research if you dont like the answers given to you. :cheers

I have done the research. If you would have passed over the thread (seeing as you don't have a silverado) without saying anything, all would have been well.

But you had to stir the pot.

And the edit was done 1 minute before your post.

Not sure, but I think I treed ya.

No worries, thanks for the help. I have been trying to figure this thing out for hours now, and for a Christmas gift, kinda running out of time. There seem sto be nothing really that says it works 100% with his truck. There's interfaces that say they require a certain bluetooth unit to work but don't recommend one to work with it and vice versa. It is a 2013 WT trim package with added GM CD player.

It's just confusing me and I don't have the time to keep reading.

SO, if anyone has used, or knows of one that will work for sure, could you please let me know. Thanks

look for bluestar. it goes in place of your onstar box and works with your phone. also check to see if they offered a bluetooth box for his year truck you may can get one from a junkyard. thats what the g8 people do.
