And why?
Just curious Ive always used IE and was wondering what the benifits were.
Doesn't crash , uses less ram , more add-ons that actually have some use . Give a shot and try it well worth using ! I've used it all my computers except my Mac , so far I like Mac's internet browser so I haven't downloaded Firefox for it yet .

Ive been playing with it a little in the past day or two and Im no sold on it yet.
Is it better? Who knows?
Is it worse? Probably not?
All I can say about it right now is its different and there is a learning curve.

i didn't use it for the longest time cause i wasn't used to it but once i got used to it and learned the little things i love it....
jeff gave a good run down of the positives to it, along with the fact that if your computer loses power or something or it just fails and shuts down it can remember the last pages you viewed next time you open it back up. also it seems to take up less space to run than IE on my computer.

Hell, firefox crashes my pc more than IE. I think IE has crashed about 5 times in the last 4 years. But Firefox has crashed my PC 10-15 times within 6 months.

firefox lets you run more than one session at a time. ex: if you open your yahoo mail, you can open another account at the same time in a different tab. this is great for me since my wife also has a yahoo account.
I really like firefox too. I have bookmarks at the top of my page that have drop down folders that I've set up for all my useful sites, ie: bills, work, porn, football, ford, honda....and in each folder I have about 5-10 sites that are all saved, which I have downloaded and uploaded to my different machines, easy as shit to do too. I've never had firefox crash any of my computers, as far as IE I don't use it enough to make it crash either. Another reason I like firefox, I have Mininova set up like a google search bar in the top right of my page, whenever I want to search for something to download off mininova all I have to do is type it in there and BAMMMM, I'm there!!!! So, you might have to play around with all the things on Firefox, but I think if your into setting shit up, you will like it better then IE
After a a year or two of firefox, I switched back to IE.

Test studies show that browsing pron with FireFox decreases pop-up encounters by 50% over other leading brands (IE),
I know this, first hand, to be true.
Unless you are a male ass-grabber...you go with FireFox.

How do I open my FTP account with Firefox?
How do I open my FTP account with Firefox?
iirc you have to download an add-on, and anytime you update firefox you have to re-download the add-on
why are you making the switch?

I have used IE for a long time. I used Fire Fox for a little bit but just stuck with IE. I haven't really had any problems until Vista. IE seems to hang in Vista now. I should just switch to win 2000 and run with it. It seemed to run the best.
