I have a 04, so no emissions crap either. Only Biodiesel location I've found is at Fox Music. Do you get it from somewhere else, or make your own?

Not sure, going to stop by there this week and see. From what I have read it runs cleaner, so you wouldn't have to run additives to keep your fuel system clean.

The biodiesel I ran was from a station joliette Illinois, I have never made any, sorry for the confusion. Willie Nelson has a bunch of biodiesel places. Be careful though, as I got stopped and checked by a Transportation / DOT cop once around the Jackson/Carolina dragway area that used this devise to suck a sample of my fuel out the tank to look at it. Apparently off road diesel is a reddish color and a 10k fine if caught running it in an over the road vehicle. Supposedly off road diesel is alot less then regular diesel because it is free of taxes. I think the Eastwood company makes system that takes things like french fry oil and such, and filters them and you add some kind of antigelling additive to be able to run it as fuel.:bigthumb:

I bought bio-diesel from a guy right outside of ladson if I remember right. He would charge $1 less/gal than what the pump showed for normal diesel.
Wow thats crazy they checked your fuel. Its pretty common around here with all the big farms and stuff. Farm/off road diesel has a red dye in it that is super hard to get out of your fuel system if you run it,hypothetically speaking, lol. It is alot cheaper to buy for sure.

if you have any 100k emissions warranty say away until the manufacture gives the blessing. VW only allows TDI residing in Illinois to use up to 15% Bio. I heard its just a good, but will gel quicker in cooler temps

it would be great if we could ticket the police/dot for wasting our time like that.

they do this up north, mostly to the bigger trucks or construction vehicles cause they would use home heating oil, which has a red tint to it and much cheaper.
