Broke down on 95 with a POS 2014 silverado

Had the cruise set to 70mph and the Check engine light started flashing and the traction control light came on. I had higher than normal oil pressure, engine and truck were shaking when I came to a stop. There's oil all underneath the truck. It looks like it's coming from the rear main area.

Just before I stopped and got gas, checked the oil, and it was perfectly full. When I stopped after the fiasco, it's low now due to spraying everywhere and there is smoke billowing out of the dipstick tube.

What a POS.

I just got it towed home and just got home. I need to get it towed to a dealership that will fix it under warranty. It's only got 46k miles on it

If it ran out of oil, or even low I would be pushing for a new motor!

There was still plenty of oil in it, about 1/2 qt low. It's being covered under the power train warranty. They seem to think they could possibly replace a piston and rings, but that's not going to happen. I'll be getting a new short block at least

It's friday evening. I stopped by there and the only thing they have done is take the fuse box cover off. How the hell does that make for good business?

I had a bank check in hand to buy a new sierra quad cab and they jerked me around so much with my trade i walked right out.. I will never go back or recommend anyone to step foot there, ever.

I worked there they are in no hurry to get any customers stuff back had one of my customers trucks for 9 weeks for a trans issue after requesting to just put a new trans in instead of fixing the one in the truck 6 times

Update time. I picks the truck up and it got a new long block. There was no compression on cylinders 1,3,5,7 or 8. All of those Pistons were damaged. Cylinder 5 had wall damage a well. It cost me $18 for the doughnuts I brought in. They have no idea what caused it.

Anyone want to buy a truck?

took 2 hours to change oil & check a battery in the "express lane"

and the service writer was an idiot. Wife finally had to force them to let her leave.

then she had to BACK to have them look at a paint defect, the idiot at express lube never told the real service writer to come look at it.

They called you to tell you it was ready and you came, but then it was all hosed up? Usually they do a test drive before the customer comes right and checks things out. How far did you drive before this happened?

It's unfortunate you sold the diesel for a newer truck and all this happens. What is your next plan after the engine is replaced?

The motor has been replaced and I got the truck back. I bought a 2012 f150 with a 5.0 thats loaded with options for a steal. I've got the 14 for sale if anyone wants to buy it. It gets 20mpg with mixed driving now with the new motor.
