I called up LFP the on Friday and talked to Mark to order some 60# injectors. So I told Mark my billing address and he said that was the second order from Goose Creek that day. He told me you made a call earlier that day and ordered something. I was just curious what you ordered.

15 dollar billet egr delete plate. He wouldn't order the Whipple 3.4 like I told him.

Nah, I know I'm the slowest lightning on this site right now, but I hope with that egr delete I can make up some time. I'm hoping for a 8.70, no where near any of you other guys, but it's a baby step process.

You might see a 8.7x after you take some weight off the truck.

Hate to break it to ya but an EGR delete wont give ya jack at the track. Trust me I know.

Ill let you borrow my slicks though if you want that 8.7X.

I wasn't even spinning my street tires the last time I went out to the track, guess I don't have enough hp for that yet.

I might have to disown him if he seriously thought it made a difference.
All it does is removes clutter for easier plug changes.

Come on. My truck ran a 8.6 when it was still stock with the F1's.

I dont want to hear it. My truck has a fiberglass bed cover on it. I do believe
that would make up any diff in weight. And I weigh 190-185 thank you very mutch. Dont think there is a 100 lbs diff.

Yeah, but your truck is silver and his truck just has silver stripes. Just that alone makes you faster.

Let me get ahold of it and massage some parts, I bet I could make it go 8.20 without a pulley change. And it would be even easier if he is using a Predator to tune with. Thats like having a pro racer package without the need of laptop for a bolt on truck.

I have a hard cover that weights a bunch and I weight 80lbs more then you, so yeah, that's a .1 of a sec!!!

It takes 150 lbs to loose or gain a tenth in the 1/8. But half a tenth could drop it back to 70's from what I ran stock. So Ill buy it.

I think my stock '99 comes with slightly less hp then the later year lightnings, I think it may be the 80 mm MAF, but I might be wrong. The cover I have weights at least 70 lbs and if you add my 80 lbs, that's 150, or .1.......and if you take about 20 hp away from the 80mm, that's about where I'm running. I'm still slow as shit, hopefully I won't be slow forever unless I try running the 1/8, I'll never get quicker at that.:cheers

Dave

also, that's with 109k miles on the truck, there's alot of gunk in that motor that might be slowing me down alittle, damn clogged injectors!!!!

Correct the 80mm maf and the stock tune (that was richer from the factory).

But........ bet you didn't know we have longer intake runners than the 01-04's (the reason for the bolt pattern change.) :bigthumb:

And (although very controversial) it has been said that we have better rods... Supposedly ford switched suppliers in late 2000 and although we have PMR like the 01-04's do they are said to be shaped diferently and the nominal thickness is greater.

Dave

I just need to take that damn cover off, tow pakg, pass. seat, tail gate, sway bar, and with that egr delete:joke: I should be down to about 8.5!!!!! I'll get some more stuff later down the line, but I feel 8.5 will be an improvement to the 8.85 that I got in 80 degree weather two weeks ago.
