Just got an f'en ticket

I was going into hanahan and I was doing 65 in a 55. Then a guy going the other way flashed his head lights so I slow down to 60 well before i get to the cop. A silver honda civic goes flying past me and slams on the brakes when he sees the cop. I saw the cop come out with his sex lights on and im thinking hes getting busted and then the cop gets behind me. He asked for my licence and regestration. I tell him hes got the wrong guy and explain everything to him. He goes to his car and comes back with a ticket. I asked him if he got any of this on tape and he says all hes got is the traffic stop and not when he clocked my speed. Im like go figure. He said he wasnt going to argue with me on the side of the street and says I can talk to the judge about it. Im so pissed right now.

I got the other guys ticket of 69 in a 55. I was only going 60. I think the cop was taking a nap or eating some donuts or some thing heard his radar go off and looked up and saw me and took it from there.

Do you mean " Careless Driving?" Wreckless is 6 points in South Carolina, careless is 0, but a fine, unless the laws have changed. Believe me, I'm speaking from experience.
I once had to sell my car that was involved in 2 car chases in the same week from the Hanahan popo. No ticket with either chase. :lol: Can't ticket what you can't catch. :shock: hahahahahahahahahahahaha

Hey guys....I work for the city of Hanahan....maybe your ticket will get me a raise..LOL....

Really though...that guy is a tool...Hell, he stopped me in the '97 GT....I had my work shirt on and he finally saw my Hanahan shirt. Then, he told me to have a nice day and drove off....


You need to go to court for the ticket...Be cool and just tell your side of it....The judge will probably cut you some slack....

This is BS. The office doesn't need to produce anything. It is his word against yours, and his is the one the judge will believe. I wish you luck but i know how this will end. You will get the price of you ticket reduced and still end up eating the points.

99% of the time thats true. I got lucky one time and the judge believed me over the cop. One thing that helped me was the judged asked the cop if I said anything at the time of the ticket. The cop admitted that I said that the light was not red.

This was a Berkeley County Cop about 14 years ago, and I've fought over a dozen since then and lost everyone. Cops word against yours, you normally lose.

Well Im back and have bad news. If you are ever in Hanahan court plead GUILTY if you plead not guilty they wont lower your fine or your points at all. Dont know if this applies to other court houses in the area but thats the way Hanahan runs it. I ended up paying $100 and got 4 points :cry:

Don't worry. It will only be on your record for 3 years though. Just do not get caught doing another moving violation again.
