Our Griffin intercooler cores are finished and in stock. We are sole distributor of these cores. At close to half the price of OEM units they are a real bargain. We've seen about a 7-10 degree drop in IAT2 temps at the end of a run and much quicker cool down times. We have been testing these for several months and have been very pleased with the results. We’ve found a lot of the intercoolers out there are getting clogged in the coolent tubes and not transferring heat like they should. The price of the cooler core is $599. Dealer inquiries are welcome. If you have any questions please give me a call.

The two main things is the material it’s made from and how the core is made. The size of the core is about the same the stocker. We all know how good the stock piece is. Tom at Griffin (owner) is a tear 1 and 2 mfg for the major car companies. They been doing cooler for many years. They own many different businesses that make a lot of oem parts. When I went to him to do this project I told him it had to be cheaper than the oem piece and more efficient. The main thing is how well it transfers heat. We tried a couple of designs before choosing this core for the cooler. It also comes with a full warranty.

Its no longer, deeper, or wider than stock according to them. They claim its better because of the material used.:hysterical::bs:

not trying to argue with you because i dont know but tube size could be different and made of better materials? possibly?

There are much better ways to go about getting a lot more cooling such as Meth, Nitrous, an Iced box and as much as I hate to say it a Killer Chiller.

is that price of $600 better than the stock price is?

at work, i have bought air to air coolers for big diesel trucks that actually blew the fuck up because the tubes were too small. thats why tube size and material could possibly make a difference. and i suppose your right about the other ways to cool but they wouldnt be a constant cooling

Did the manufacturer produce any dyno numbers? Too bad they didn't run some freon coolant lines through there.

If they would have offered it as a factory replacement for the 99-00 guys that don’t have the upgraded recall intercooler, it would be a good replacement at an even better price.

But they are advertising it as an upgrade, and this is where I disagree. The factory intercooler is not a Ford part it’s made by Garrett and to date has been shown not to be a weak link and does not need replacing even at 800 RWHP standards

Im pretty sure your customers diesels run and work at quite a bit more PSI than our motors work at which creates more heat, but ours cant handle it like those can unless highly modified.

All the other mod Ive mentioned may not be constant but who needs constant at the strip?

I can use the Killer Chiller constantly (which works off of my Ac system but unfortunalty it drips from condensation because I haven't built a drip catch yet)

I'm not even gonna get into the takes power to make power argument, anything that uses or needs the vehicles A/C system to cool the intake charge is stupid.

There are far superior and effective ways of doing that without using the a/c system, the only way I would even consider something like that would be if it were standalone from the engine.

Not trying to get into a takes power to make power argument, but I do agree however obvious, there are far better ways to make power. :nx:

Cobra owners on SVTP really brought out the details in this thread. Still a lot more questions, who knows where this could go.
