I have friend that recently bought an F250 with the 7.3 Diesel. Its a high milage truck and he has some questions and needs some work done to it. Any recomendations for an independant shop that knows their stuff on these motors? Don't need any hot rodding, just good knowledge and service. Kinda scared to try the dealers, got to find a diesel guy that knows these trucks. I have a lot of experiance with the motors in their original Internation(Navistar) application, but Ford changed a few things around when they put them in their pickups

Another good place-for independents-is Hanahan Auto and Truck. Don't have their number handy, but they are in the book. It's operated by a couple of guys who were diesel techs at Jones Ford a few years back. Of course, he could just bring it to Jones. 744-3311 x401
