Street racing is the culprit of that one. My condolences to the family of the driver.

Heres what I got on it ... 5k for the winner ... race prepped 'Stangs ... "secret stretch of country road" ... BCSO and locals warned about it hours before but chose to not do anything about it ... after accident the "buddies" anonimously call 9-1-1 ( you cant do that with the enhanced Palmetto system ) ...

Anyone got more ? Post it up rumor or not ...

old news and i can give you the whole story but won't do it on a forum.

I can tell you that the person he was racing is someone we all know and see at the track on a regular basis, it was only one "stang", the other car was another make, the pot was not 5k, and the cops know that the streetracing goes on down there on a regular basis-

the driver of that car was Little Mikey- he was with the WAO camp and was a really good guy. He was also decapitated in the accident which makes it especially sad.

Hate to hear news like this.

Just another reason to not street race and stick to the track. Im sure its a little harder to get decapitated on the track.

I saw 3 or 4 other pictures and it looked as if the car didn't have a cage... I really feel bad for the family, it's a shame when something like this happens and it really makes you think twice about what you risk on the street.

where are the pictures?
and no, the car had no cage- it was a convertible street car.

It was a vert, and looked like it was sexy as hell. Damn, thats a bad loss on the person mostly, but the car too. I thought Mikey had another fox?

well damn- the first person to the car after the wreck that found him decapitated told me it was a vert.
either way- very sad deal. i am glad i wasn't there to see it.

yeah- he had a coupe too- the purple one that said WAO on the windshield- he came out to dorchester with it a good bit. I heard they had the motor from the coupe in this car.

Did he have a role cage? In one of the pics it looks like there was one there.

I have heard from 3 people that it did not have one, but you know how reliable second hand information can be. I also heard that the seatbelt was responsible for the decapitation, but it looks as if the roof would have done it. I'm stilll amazed at how tore up the car is. Does anyone know the real amout this race was set up for?
