Maiden voyage checklist?

Anyone have one? I know I am going to go over this car with a fine tooth comb multiple times before I strike out down the road but I havent had a car that has started from nothing and came this far in one "project" What all do you guys do before you do the first test drive?

I know check all fluids, suspension component bolts. Loose wires, grounds, seat belts properly installed. The basics I got. Anything special for a turbo car???

my scariest moment ever came on the test drive the day i bought my old cobra. i bought it from an old man that said he had never had it at wide open throttle. turns out he wasn't lying.
On the test drive (before i had paid for it)- i stabbed it as soon as i pulled out of his neighborhood, ran it through 3 gears and then tried to lift. The throttle was hung. I was coming up on a curve and ended up doing some fast and furious drifting with the throttle hung until i could cut the key off. Luckily i didn't panic and drove through it until i could get it shut down.
It ended up that it was hanging on a clamp screw for the CAI. Noone had ever checked wide open throttle and it about killed me and the buddy that was with me.
I don't scare myself too often in a car, but my heart was beating like crazy after we stopped.

I plan on having a buddy follow me with his truck and cell phone as well. Just incase.

If it will break it will be at that time. Every time we "debug" something and/or take a vehicle out, even if it is after a brake pad upgrade that is the first thing I make sure I have. Rather call a ride instead of walking. I didn't get fat by walking.

Plus, its also added insurance JUST in case.

But another thing to have would be jumper cables as well.

Keep an eye on AIR/FUEL, temps and pressures. Baby it a couple of times and bring it back it let it cool and do it again and again. ME. I usually baby it around for a couple of miles after it is at operating temp than take the rpms up a couple of times in some gears and bring it back in

For now I am not even going to load the tune. That way I HAVE to keep it below 3 lbs of boost or all manor of damnit will take place. I figure the easiest way to not screw it up is not flog it.

Make sure your IC pipes are in as far as they can into the couplers and tighten the piss out of them, don't want one flying off say, I don't know, when your going down the track :hide:
